Sherbie is our 1961 pale green and cream splittie which we purchased as a partly restored project in October 2005.
Sherbie was imported into the UK from New Zealand about 8 years ago and we purchased it from Mrs Herbie, when she decided to focus on her 1949 beetle restoration project.
The pale green is the original colour that is specific to New Zealand and we believe there are only 2 other buses in New Zealand this colour.
Sherbie has a 1500cc engine and still has the original gearbox and reduction boxes but it has a late bay beam and therefore it has disc brakes on the front.
Sherbie has a full length roof rack and lap belts in the front.
Sherbie has a full width rock and roll bed. Sherbie has an iPOD connector and a Radio / CD Player which will play MP3,CDRW etc. There is a 2 ring gas burner with grill and 3 way fridge.
